Michael David Vearer 07.01.1955-03.07.2005.
Son of June and Frank, much loved brother to Derek and Keith. Uncle, Cousin, Friend, Partner - the list goes on.

My dad was a strong character, a funny man, heart of gold, yet tough as coffin nails. He loved food and Guinness, he loved Whites lemonade and having the t.v stay on one channel. He had a big thing for documentaries and wild life programmes, carboot sales and burgers full of onions.

He worked away in Lincoln all week and came home on the weekends, always making sure me and my brother never went without, giving us money for clothes and games etc. He did the best he could with the time we had together. He never failed me as a father. Never.

Everyday that goes by i think of him, even if its just for 10 seconds, remembering something about him that makes me smile. His heart of gold was his most wonderful trait, he would help any one where he could.

He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Tumours and Secondary Liver Cancer. We all knew something was wrong but my dad being the stubborn man he was didnt need a doctor. When he told us he had cancer i knew instantly he wasn't going to get better. That he wasn't going to be around, even though people tried to assure me it would be ok.

He passed away before i could really say what i wanted, me and my father never really said "I love you" we just knew. But when i knew he was dying for the first time in my life i just wanted to ask...but didn't for fear of hearing the things i didn't want to.

He passed away leaving so many behind, his funeral was full of people, jam-packed with people paying their respects. I know he was better off in heaven than down here suffering.

He was taken too soon at the age of 50. He had so much life to live and so much more to do and see. I just hope if he can ever see this that he knows me and Terry miss him day in and day out.

He was a much loved brother, and uncle. He was a well remembered cousin and friend to so many. He is stil loved an missed by so many too. He is forever in my heart, and the hearts of everyone whose lives he entered.

I love you dad, always no matter what any one says you were my dad and i will always remember you.

To Mick - a crazy loveable, happy man, who even in his hardest time, was still humble.

Please don't mourn for me

I’m still here, though you don’t see.
I’m right by your side each night and day
And within your heart I long to stay.
My body is gone but I’m always near
I’m everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I’ll never depart
As long as you keep me alive in your heart.
I’ll never wander out of your sight.
I’m the brightest star on a summer night.
I’ll never be beyond your reach.
I’m the warm, moist sand when you’re at the beach.
I’m the colorful leaves when autumn comes around
And the pure, white snow that blankets the ground.
I’m the beautiful flowers of which you are so fond.
The clear, cool water in a quiet pond.
I’m the first bright blossom you’ll see in the spring;
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I’m the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
And you’ll see that the face in the moon is mine.
When you start thinking there’s no one to love you,
You can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I’ll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
And you’ll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.
I’m the hot, salty tears that flow when you weep
And the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I’m the smile you see on a baby’s face.
Just look for me, I’m everyplace!

Walk A Llittle Slower Daddy - Unknown Author

"Walk a Little slower, Daddy." said a little child so small.
I'm following in your footsteps and I don't want to fall.

Sometimes your steps are very fast, sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower Daddy, for you are leading me.

Someday when I'm all grown up, You're what I want to be.
Then I will have a little child who'll want to follow me.

And I would want to lead just right, and know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy, for I must follow you!!

Dad by Judy Burnette

Dad...so many images come to mind
whenever I speak your name;
It seems without you in my life
things have never been the same.

What happened to those lazy days
when I was just a child;
When my life was consumed in you
in your love, and in your smile.

What happened to all those times
when I always looked to you;
No matter what happened in my life
you could make my gray skies blue.

Dad, some days I hear your voice
and turn to see your face;
Yet in my turning...it seems
the sound has been erased.

Dad, who will I turn to for answers
when life does not make sense;
Who will be there to hold me close
when the pieces just don't fit.

Oh, Dad, if I could turn back time
and once more hear your voice;
I'd tell you that out of all the dads
you would still be my choice.

Please always know I love you
and no one can take your place;
Years may come and go
but your memory will never be erased.

Today, Jesus, as You are listening
in your home above;
Would you go and find my dad
and give him all my love.
